Concert Supporting The Charity ‘Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis’
On 21st September at 7.30 Yelvertoft Independent Chapel will host a high quality concert in support of the primary charity sponsoring research and supporting families affected by IPF.
Participants in the concert include:
Jonny Lyon (MA Music) on oboe, cor anglais voice and piano
Nimish Ilango (MA Music) on violin, sitar and voice
Ian Hoggart (PhD Music) on bassoon, recorders and voice
Phil Gregg on Irish banjo, guitar, bass and voice
Anji Gregg on voice and percussion
John Harris on piano
The content of the evening will be varied including classical and folk items, together with some lively hymns and carols played and sung in the style common before church organs were installed, when village musicians provided the musical accompaniment in local churches, as well as at other village events. The programme will also include a number of excellent solo items from our outstanding performers.
In addition to the musical content, there will be a brief talk from Dr Felix Woodhead - consultant respiratory physician and clinical lead of the Interstitial Lung Disease service at Glenfield Hospital, Leicester
Tickets are £8 each or £16 for a ‘family’ group of 4 including 2 under 18s. All ticket proceeds will go to the charity ‘Action for Pulminary Fibrosis’ (https://www.actionpulmonaryfibrosis.org/) registered charity 1152399.
Interval refreshments will be provided free of charge by Yelvertoft Independent Chapel.

Ideopathic Pulminary Fibrosis(IPF) is a lung condition which has caused the death of at least two people in Yelvertoft, and other friends of the village are also affected by this unpleasant condition.
