Remebrance Sunday

Remembrance Sunday falls on the 2nd weekend of November each year, and is a time when we remember those who have lost their lives in wars and conflicts.

In Yelvertoft there is a special focus on remembering those from the village who lost their lives during two world wards, and the crews of two aicraft which crashed just outside the village killing all on board.

Responsibility for the event alternates between All Saints church and Yelvertoft Independent Chapel.

It starts with a commemoration at the village war memorial starting at 10:55am.  This commemration is followed by a joint service in the building of the organising church, with the preacher provided by the church not organising that year.

In 2024,, Remembrance Sunday falls on November 10th, and Yelvertoft Independent Chapel will be the organising church.
